Dan Hobbs – Managing Director

Dan has been in the solar industry for over 15 years, starting out in solar thermal before moving into solar PV when the FIT tariff was introduced in 2010. He’s passionate about renewable energy and ensuring customers get the best solutions for their homes and businesses. Outside of work, Dan’s three kids keep him on his toes, and he’s an active member of the local rugby club—though these days, he sticks to the sidelines rather than the pitch!

Luke Moon – Technical Director

Luke has been an electrician his entire career and is widely respected as one of the best in the business. Known for his problem-solving skills, he’s often called in by other firms when they’re facing tricky installations or complex faults. When he’s not working, Luke and his wife Aimee are busy building their dream home while raising their two daughters.

Sean Farmer – Lead Solar Installer

With years of hands-on experience in the solar industry, Sean has fitted and commissioned hundreds of solar systems. If there’s something to know about solar, Sean knows it! He’s committed to delivering top-quality installations with a smile. At home, Sean enjoys time with his fiancée and young family—but if you ever see him on the dancefloor, you’ll witness his other talent: gliding effortlessly to the music!

Luke Andrews – Solar Designer

Luke started his solar career in Australia, learning the trade in one of the sunniest places on earth. Since returning to the UK, he’s worked with several solar companies, bringing a wealth of knowledge to The Solar House, where he designs bespoke solar systems for our customers. When he’s not at work, Luke can often be found in a Cardiff bar or restaurant, entertaining crowds with his incredible singing and saxophone skills!
