Outstanding from start to finish. They deliver what they say they will do and after sales support is second to none. Total professional and high level of integrity and trust.

What homeowners wrote
Reviews from Google and Trustpilot, word for word, with videos and photos from their homes.
We got several quotes and these guys were head and shoulders above the rest in their approach. The end result looks very smart - the quality of the install really is top notch
Every part of the process was painless, really appreciated being able to walk into the shop in Cheltenham to discuss options. … The install itself took one day
The initial meeting was very informative and a no pressure environment (in fact Wayne and Dan recommended that we get in contact with other providers to compare against their proposal).
From first enquiry to switch-on, Solar House delivered a fantastic experience. … The install went like clockwork and the team were punctual, polite, and finished ahead of schedule.
What makes them standout from other Cardiff based suppliers is the showroom in Whitchurch.
Since day 1 to the completion of the instal and the panels going live I can not praise the team at the Solar House highly enough. I was kept up to date at all stages of the process and no question I asked was left unanswered. Dan, Luke and Wayne in the office were superb, as were Steve (Roofing), Sean (Electrical maestro) and of course the scaffolding team. Steve & Sean worked together to ensure that our request for cable routing could be achieved and the end result is fantastic. I am already seeing the benefit of the panels and the energy they produce and will happily sing the praises of the Solar House if people ask about the installation (and even if they don't). Once again, I can only thank the whole team for the care and attention detail they provide and would recommend the Solar House to any one.
Dan took the time to invite us into the showroom and explain everything clearly and professionally. There was absolutely no pressure selling, just honest advice and guidance, which we really appreciated.
We were given good advice and allowed to go through the process and make decisions at our own pace. We have had solar, battery storage and an EV charger installed.
The team at Solar House Cardiff were superb from start to finish. From the initial consultation and design accommodating our needs, to finding a solution to the cable runs. The install ran smoothly, and the after care has been great too
Had a very positive experience at The Solar House at Leekes recently. Lucy was super friendly and professional and the prep she had done and subsequent proposal was detailed and most helpful. Highly recommended.
I did my research between these guys and others, had a meeting at their Cheltenham office to outline proposal, they turned up for surveys when the said they would, installation went to plan
From start to finish absolutely fantastic, everything was so efficient polite and friendly, unbelievably quick and so tidy nothing out of place, highly recommend this company to anyone
No pressure, clear explanations, quick efficient installation. have already recommended this firm to my clients.
I contacted them, arranged a meeting, they explained everything clearly answered questions on every level and followed up with a quote. No hard sales during or after the meeting.
Truly amazing service from The Solar House, from start to finish they answered all my questions, helped me with every decision and provided a great level of service. The install itself is amazing and has exceeded my expectations.
A great experience from my initial enquiry at the shop in Whitchurch, through to the survey and then the install. Everything was arranged and communicated well, scaffolders turned up when they were supposed to.
We have a listed building in the centre of Cheltenham that other companies always found problems. The Solar House found solutions. They worked out the optimum panel arrangement and battery location that worked with the planning approval.
There was NO pressure to buy, just good advise, a cup of coffee, a large screen to see your own roof and where panels could go.
From start to finish every question was answered quickly & efficiently and they talked us through all the process every step of the way. … Brilliant, wish we'd had it installed years ago!
The Solar house was very different, we went to them and had a discussion no sales push at all … I have a better system now than I had planned and this is down to the Solar house team.
Excellent support and service from the Solar House - so, so helpful to be able to see them in person and walk through all the options and recommendations.
The solar installation was completed to a very high standard, and they left our property clean and tidy when the work was finished.
Solar House are great. My Solar Panels were installed in August 2025 and I have reaped the benefits since. Thank you Solar House ❤️
Dan couldn't have been more helpful during my two visits to Solar House. He answered all my questions gave me lots of time, never rushed me and at no time did I feel pressurised to buy.
The after care has also been great and if you need to call for any reason to ask a question they actually pick up the phone and answer! Will absolutely be recommending Solar House.
From start to finish the team at The Solar House have been fantastic, from selecting the best fit configuration to planning and gaining approval for the system installation, and the installation itself has been very professionally completed.
It was a pleasure to deal with Dan and his team. I found the advice they gave us practical and informative, they really know their stuff and have gone over and above what your would expect to help us, no pressure involved. Highly recommend the Solar House.
Solar panels were, for many years, on our must have list, but 2 large oak trees at our previous house dashed all such hopes. On our return to Cardiff and a chance conversation with our middle son about Solar House, revitalised our hopes for solar panels. A phone call with Dan started our smooth and happy journey to our goal. The Solar House team were just fantastic. The process started with a no obligation plan of a system specific to our house. This schematic mock up was incredibly simple to follow and understand. Any thoughts of shopping around went out the window and we placed an order. Everything after that was just plain sailing. The survey was performed by one of the best electricians, Sean, we have ever met; the subcontracted scaffolding company were brilliant; the two day solar panel fitment and electrics went like a dream and we were up and running by the afternoon of day 2. Most importantly, our expected hassle of paperwork associated with the grid and our energy supplier was totally taken over by the Solar House team. In concluding, we would strongly recommend Solar House: the company members all have an exemplary work ethic.
The service that we received from The Solar House was fantastic, from the first phone call through to post installation. Dan and the team are knowledgeable , friendly and helpful in all aspects of the installation. Even the scaffolding team were brilliant. The whole experience was great and I can't recommend them enough. The Solar House are a fantastic company to deal with. Thank you Dan.
Superb service from start to end would highly recommend The Solar House
Highly recommend and a great company to work with. Dan and Luke came up with options for us to consider and adjusted them to meet our needs/wants. There was no pushy sales tactics and time for us to consider. They then worked very hard to provide a really quick installation so we could save money by using our existing scaffolding. Luke also helped ensure we had the necessary approvals to apply to our utility company for our excess. Many thanks to Dan, Luke and Sean.
Excellent service start to finish 👍 really happy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Shaun the engineer couldn't do enough and the guys at luke and dan very helpful. Highly recommend this company 👍👍
Outstanding service start to finish. No pushy sales, and listened to what I wanted. Solar panel install guys were friendly and informative and clearly knew what they were doing. Sean (electrician) I cannot praise enough. Clean tidy install, friendly and respectful. He was happy to accommodate any queries along the way.
We had the solar system installed nearly a month ago. It was 8 panels with 5kWh battery. When Dan from The Solar House visited us, there was no bewitching, no stories about being better than others, or being the best. He just gave us a comprehensive quote based on measurements he did with his drone, calculated exactly how many panels would fit on our roof (others only assumed and never went for this many). When I asked for a specific equipment, Dan just recalculated everything and generated another quote. Seemed to me that they were not bounded to a particular make or dealer of the solar systems. At the same time, Dan was very knowledgeable and advised us on feasibility of every option and variation we came up with. At the end, we decided to go for their small local company to support local businesses, but also we knew from experience that big companies can sometimes afford to do things wrong. And it was an excellent decision. They really made sure everything was tip-top to the smallest details. Everything was discussed: layout and location of electrics, even colour of cables to match the walls. Communication with the company throughout and after the project has been excellent. We had the system installed within two weeks from the agreement. First day scaffolding was put up, following day the panels arrived with a team who mounted them on roof in no more than 3 hours. Sean, the electrician spent 2 full days doing the rest of the magic. He was also very professional. Didn't do anything without consulting with us. The job he did was outstanding, no cowboying, no messing about. No problem with adding extra feature (backup mains socket to supply electricity in event of a power cut), which wasn't initially planned. All done neat and clean, like he's never been here. Sean made sure all was working before he left (including the app), explained everything, and made sure we were all happy with the installation. Handover paperwork arrived a couple of days later, including documents required to apply for the SEG ( an account to sell surplus electricity back to the grid). I had to apply for it myself, and as of today, it has not yet been set up. It's irrelevant to The Solar House anyway. There is one more document I'm still waiting for, which is the building regulations certificate. Apparently, this will be delivered to us directly from the authorities. I will update the review accordingly. I would definitely recommend The Solar House to anybody who considers the installation of a solar panels system. 5 🌟 company, 100% satisfaction. Thank you Dan, Sean, and rest of the team!
The Solar House are a great company: In January, I purchased my first electric car and installed a MyEnergi Zappi EV charger. Inspired to reduce energy costs, I explored solar PV options and liked that MyEnergi’s app integrates products. After a disappointing experience with a large company, I contacted The Solar House and was impressed. Their team listened, invited me to view products, and provided a detailed proposal using MyEnergi products. Luke and Dan explained everything thoroughly, including the need for a second inverter. My installation wasn’t that straightforward as my home already had 3 old PV panels, and I had a small leisure solar system on my garage. Sean came to do a survey and worked out optimal cable runs and equipment placement. The team (within weeks) installed 12 panels on my roof, 4 on the garage (7.36kW), 2 batteries (10.4kWh), and a hot water diverter (Eddi). Sean’s professional and neat electrical work was exceptional and he even ensured firmware updates were installed and did a full system walkthrough, including the app. After just five days, the system has been remarkable (admittedly so has the weather). The boiler remains off, we’ve had consistent hot water, and my car charged from 45% to 82% while powering the house and fully charging the batteries on a day I worked from home. Gas usage is zero, and daily electricity costs are pence. I’m switching to the Export Guarantee Scheme and cancelling my old FIT payments which I could do quickly because The Solar House’s documentation with certificates was sent the day after installation. I can’t recommend The Solar House enough—efficient, knowledgeable, and truly excellent service. Thank you!
5-Star Experience with The Solar House – Highly Recommend! From start to finish, working with The Solar House was an absolute pleasure. Dan was exceptional—he went above and beyond to ensure every step of the process was clear, answering all our questions with patience and expertise. The site survey was quick and hassle-free, and the installation team was nothing short of outstanding. They worked efficiently, kept everything tidy, and were a joy to have on-site. A special shout-out to Sean, the electrician, who did a fantastic job—the entire setup looks clean, professional, and perfectly installed. What could have been a stressful process turned into a seamless experience thanks to their professionalism and skill. If you're considering solar, look no further—The Solar House delivers top-notch service and quality workmanship. 10/10 recommend! 🌞✨
Dan and Sean came over, and we had a proper chat, they inspected the house and the installation followed a week later. Sean was professional and respectful, the job he done is looking great, when the system was installed I started saving money instantly. I would highly recommend The Solar House to anyone thinking about solar panels, the quote they gave me was the cheapest one out of 4 different companies. Highly Recommended :) Overall, 5/5 stars for professionalism and the quality of service.
Our first full week of solar last week and I don’t know why it took us this long to make the jump. It took 2 days in total to install but everything went smoothly. Would definitely recommend The Solar House and their team, they were great!!
I recently moved into a new house which already had solar partially installed. Dan and Sean came round at short notice, talked me through it, finished setting it up and fixed a fault with the system. Excellent service and very friendly blokes. Would highly recommend The Solar House!
Thank you Dan and the solar house team, very professional standard of work second to none and very polite, once again thank you solar house team.
We purchased a house with a SolarEdge PV installation that developed a fault. Having tracked down the initial installer we found they had ceased trading. Unfortunately, despite many attempts with other companies we were unable to get anyone to help us until we contacted Dan at The Solar House. Sean has been really helpful, methodically diagnosed the fault -without prior knowledge of the particular set up of our installation and picked up the discussions with Solar Edge who have sent replacement components out to get us up and running again. Dan and Sean have been super helpful, great comms and kept to their commitments. 5 Star all round 👍
Superb company, from start to finish everything was far above what we could of hoped for. There was no sales pressure at all, just genuine honest info, which made it really easy for us to decide. The installers were brilliant and our solar system is already saving us money during the winter months. Great advice from Dan on how to use our storage battery meaning even if we don’t have any or much solar, we’re still saving on our electricity by buying cheap overnight. Couldn’t have asked for me, thanks Dan, Luke and the other guys. To anyone considering a solar installation in Cardiff, you won’t go wrong with the solar house.
Really pleased with Dan and the TSH team. The quote was competitive and they really took the time to explain solar to me and my husband. The roofer Joe and Electrician Jake were really pleasant and managed to finished everything in 2 days even in the horrendous rain.
I would definitely recommend The Solar House, the installation boys were professional, knowledgeable and efficient throughout the entire process.
I spoke to The Solar House about installing a solar system in my new house as our electricity prices were costing us more. Dan was so helpful at explaining all of the investment, return on investment and how it works. Can’t wait to have it all installed
I have recommended The Solar House to a few of my clients, and they have had nothing but praise for the way they were dealt with. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, highlighting the exceptional service and professionalism that The Solar House provides. The praise from my clients for The Solar House is a testament to the outstanding service and quality they provide. I have seen some of their installations and the commitment to excellence is evident in every aspect of their work, making them a highly recommended choice for anyone considering solar energy solutions.
Fast, efficient and professional service for the installation of our solar panels, battery and EV charger from the very knowledgeable team at The Solar House. Thanks all, would highly recommend.
